One Minute On Arrival Visa Services for the Businessmen

According to the updated news from the UMTA (Union of Myanmar Travel Association), Businessmen and conference attendees will be granted Visa on Arrival in Myanmar starting from June 1, 2012.

Immigration Department Director-General Maung Maung Than said that the visas will cost $50 but not be available for tourists. The visas will be available to nationals of the following 27 countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippine, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Great Britain, the United States of America, South Korea and North Korea.

The service will first be available at the country's main entry point, Yangon International Airport, and later in Mandalay and the capital, Naypyitaw.

All the applicants have to know the following information.

 1. The applicant must possess official passport which has validity for at least 6 months.
 2. He/She must have 2 passport color photos (4cmx6cm) taken within 6 months.
 3. For on arrival business visa, he/she needs to submit the application form with the invitation letter from the company in Myanmar.
 4. If the applicant has already been doing business in Myanmar, the company license & registration and the copies of work permit documents from the respective Ministry is needed to submit with the application form.
 5. The applicant has to mention detail information such as the name of the company or factory, its location, the name and designation of person at the company who takes responsibility for his presence in Myanmar.
 6. For the extension of visa, it can be applied by the recommendation of the respective Ministry.
 7. For the person who will attend the meetings, workshops or conference, the official invitation from the respective Ministry is needed to submit.
 8. Please be aware that it is not allowed to do other business which is not mentioned in the application form.
 

The following visa fee will be charged:

Business visa (70 days) – 50 US dollar per person

If the person spends more days than his/her visa is allowed, 3 USD will be charged for every extended day. But 5 USD per day will be charged for the visa more than 90 days.
